Introduction

After immense success of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), blanker Dev Campus has introduced a new course Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance (BBA-Finance) first time in Nepal from academic session 2075, under Tribhuvan University. Rapidly growing Finance Industry (banking, insurance, stock market, microfinance and finance cooperative), ample scope of employment opportunity in these sectors and strong preference of students to finance subject are the factors of motivation behind the new program.

Market focused Specialized New Course BBA-Finance
After outstanding success of BBA Programme, SDC launched financial market focused and specialized course the BBA-Finance. The BBA-Finance Programme is managed by same management team and common faculties of BBA Programme. Involvement of experts of financial market in course development makes the BBA-Finance Programme realistic and pragmatic.
Dear students, today education means much more than merely acquiring knowledge. It is acquisition of knowledge and skills, building character and improving employability of our young talent, the future leadership. Moreover, it is process of making a responsible citizen for the nation.

Message from the Duputy Director

Objectives

The objective of this programme is to prepare Students to be competent for mid-level careers in finance industry within and outside the country. The programme aims at creating a sound academic foundation for advanced Studies in the field of management in general and  finance in particular. In addition, it also aims at preparing professionals how are responsible and responsive to the demands of the society. Students attending this course will earn 120 credits, administered in eight semesters spread over four years. The main features of the programme are:

⦁ Industry-focused programme.

⦁ Built on the foundations of management and allied courses, finance core courses and finance specialization and elective courses.

⦁ Enough opportunity for Students to understand real market situation through research, project works and internship.

⦁ Designed to equip students with multiple skills such as interpersonal, technological, analytical, and decision making skills.

⦁ Designed to develop holistic approach of students enabling them to succeed in professional, personal and social lives.

⦁ Solid foundation for academic advancement and professional excellence.

⦁ Inculcate enquiring attitude and develop research skills for innovation, and adoption to ever-changing business environment through research, seminar and practicum.

⦁ Inculcate positive attitude and ethical values among Students to develop them as responsible finance professionals and good citizens.

Eligibility

The candidate applying for admission to the BBA-FI program of Tribhuvan University must have:
1. secured at least 2.41 CGPA with at least grade 'C' in each subject or 60% in  10+2 equivalent programmme
2. successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board
or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
3. passed  entranc test (CMAT)
Eligible applicants are required to appear in the entrance test commonly known as Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management. The test will
follow the international testing pattern and standards. It includes the areas like:
• Verbal ability
• Quantitative ability
• Logical reasoning
• General awareness
There shall be altogether one hundred (100) objective questions in the CMAT containing twenty
(25) questions in each section with a total weight of 100 marks. Student must secure a minimum
of 40% in the CMAT in order to qualify for the interview.
Interview
Applicants securing above cut off point marks in the CMAT will be short-listed. Only short listed
candidates will be interviewed and selected for admission.
Merit List
Admissions of the students in BBA-FI program of Tribhuvan University will be strictly on the basis of
merit list. Merit list is prepared on the basis of:
1. 60% of CMAT Entrance examination
2. 30% of marks secured in percentage in plus two or equivalent
3. 10% Interview
